Product Description
Jingda's stone coated steel tiles are roofing products made from galvanized steel panels strengthened using aluminium zinc alloy coating and finally coated using stone chips from naturally mined rocks. It is not uncommon to hear some people referring to the stone coated steel tiles as Zinc-Alu steel coated tiles.
Galvanization is the process of applying a protective layer of zinc to steel. This is important because it makes the steel rust proof. It also strengthens the steel enough to allow for moulding of different designs without any adverse impact on the tensile strength of the tile. Galvanizing also improves the steel's heat resistance characteristics, making the stone coated steel tiles ideal for use in different climatic conditions.
Before the aluminium-zinc alloy coated steel is coated with stone granules, an environment friendly acrylic primer and base coat is applied on it as an adhesive to bind the naturally mined rock granules, that don't fade, onto the coated steel base.
The stone granules are further bonded by a UV resistant glaze finish which further reinforces the tiles' longevity by up to 50 years.
